It's Dad's birthday tomorrow. Guess you know.
Love you Sally!

Hi Dave

Saw something about a tree planting contest on socialedge.org

Would you have any interest in a soil carbon contest? Am looking for advice, constructive disbelief, leads, etc.

http://soilcarboncoalition.org/challenge

PS am contemplating a website using Rails to connect donors and individual carbon farmers/competitions.

Yes, it's a pressing issue, Alex - thanks for the comment! It appears if the first two bills pass that this scenario will be entirely possible. I see that as having a deadening effect on the network.
I believe we need to alleviate the mistrust in society, it's the culture of fear that eats the holes in, as you say, our swiss cheese legal system.

All good points, Dave. I am mostly alarmed at the possibility that some corrupt institution may muscle their dirty ways through our 'Swiss cheese' legal system and get a carte blanche to freely confiscate, without a legal warrant, someone's private information by intercepting packets of data on the wire. We need to ensure that such thing never happens, because if it does, we'll be sliding back into the stone age and will start behaving like cave men!
